Looks like the right time to buy a new tuner pedal. Check this out!

You can still only tune 1 string at a time. The best feature is the ambient light sensor that dims/brightens the LED's when you're indoors or outdoors.

Polyphonic looks really cool. It will allow you to see how the effects of tuning one string change the others. With a Strat type floating bridge, or a weak neck, this is quite a problem. You might be able to figure out how to compensate the string you are tuning, based on what happens as you tune subsequent strings.

It also looks like it would be much faster to tune. You wouldn't have to check every string. You could just address the one that is out of tune. I'm definitely going to get one if it is accurate enough.

Just read about these and I'm really interested. 100 bucks sounds about on par with everyone else. Maybe time to retire the old tu2 to the b-string board.

pitchblack and the new TU-3 are +/- 1 cent, so .5 cents is pretty damn good. (nowhere near the turbo, but pretty damn good.)

+1 to the floating bridge thing, which seems to confuse some people. this thing could really help folks get a grasp on what actually happens to the other strings when tuning.

This looks really cool. Deal maker for me is that it's got a 9volt out to power the extra pedal on my board! That was the deal breaker to replace my Strobostomp with the Turbo tuner...
