What kind of fabric should I use to cover my pedalboard? I need something that will hold hook side velcro securely. It's about 18" x 28" -I can only find velcro in 2" strips and it's expensive. Any body have any recommendations? Thanks.

I'm in the middle of makin' one.. I'm using black fuzzy "looped pile" carpet running material from home depot, as long as it's looped and not thick, it will grab!.. You can also dumpters dive a carpet store for what you need, Use contact cement to stick it to your board.

Forget about Velcro. It's not that great for pedal boards. What you really want to use is 3m Dual Lock. Dual Lock is worlds ahead of Velcro.

What you need is some headliner type material they put in cars. I went to my local fabric store and got a bunch. It's not all that expensive either. It's about 1/4" before you squish it and it holds like a mother. I used 3M Dual Lock Hook on my pedals.

It is velcro stepped up a notch. Go to ebay and search for "dual lock". I use the 1.5"-2" stuff.
