His tweaks on a PR are shown in his Columbia Reverb (which he originally entitled the Princetone). I think this is more of a Princeton style (with an added middle control and reverb).

    Bump for more info.
Can't decide between this or the Columbia.
Has anyone got the road runner? How's the bass on it? I found there's to much bass in Princetons. I got one with DR Trannies bass is under 2 most times.
Just noticed the RR runs 5y3 instead GZ34 rec? Softer crunchier less punch?

Also torn between the Road Runner and the Columbia, any feedback would be great.

I think the columbia will be a bit louder than the roadrunner. I think thats one of the reasons he made the roadrunner, for a true low wattage amp. Believe it or not, 10" speakers break up less than 12" speakers, 10's are tighter in the bottom. Guessing, but I couldn't see any Louis amp lacking in the bottom end.

Bump for more reviews. Anyone actually have first hand experience with the RR?

I just played both yesterday & the "Deltone". A good friend of mine drove me to NJ.
Happy Holidays indeed! These amps are unreal!! All 3 of them. I don't know why no
one markets these as the ultimate surf amps, the reverb and tremolo is sooo good.
They're bright and detailed clean, will purr w/ a little boost in the volume and middle &
growl w/ a little more. The headroom achieved is miraculous. (Pretty sure all 3 had 6v6s)
How do you choose? I landed up taking home the Columbia w/6V6s (came w/ a vintage foot pedal too!)
for $600 off list price (thank you Mr. Rosano). I liked the Deltone the best (bigger cabinet maybe?)
but don't have a gigging band at the moment and it's just too much amp for a NYC apt.
Honestly I should've probably gone with the roadrunner. The only difference being a 10" versus a 12" speaker.
To my ear the Roadrunner was a little warmer in tone while the 12" Columbia had a richer bass response.
Anyone would be blown away hearing any of these amps and go home to throw their fender amps,
compressors, and echo units out the window.
