What's the story about the guitar - It's a BC Rich? New, Old? What's it made out of?

The guitar was made in either 1983 or 84 for randy piper be the bcrich custom shop. There are a couple other wacky axes that they made for him floating around out there somewhere.

Yeah, that one's nice. It's too bad they didn't build it right though. IIRC, it was supposed to be blue to green burst. The finish on the back of the body and neck is 100% wrong and the horn was supposed to be scalloped. It also took 2 years to build and I seem to recall that the owner posted that it was lacking the Photo CD/Binder and COA... The owner was happy with it though, so that says a bit.

Its ridiculous what that guy went through, if a $5000 guitar arrived at my house with a broken neck i would accept nothing less than a brand new neck. The fact that they never offered to build a new one is shocking to me. It seems that the custom shop really has gone downhill since fender bought the company. I ordered a custom warrior back in 99 and it was perfect in every way. I will have a Road King in red croco, I'm just waiting until I build a new house, and have a dedicated music room. I have a recto head/212 cab, which has seen some road work, so it's a good workhorse for now.

Dean Caddy 1980 reish with some upgrades.

I just put this Kramer together - it's got DiMarzio's out of a Parker and after a fret dressing, some new electronics and a good setup it's a surprisingly nice guitar.
