Lovepedal 1/2 watt amp with tweed suitcase speaker

    I'm getting a great sound with my Lovepedal 1/2 watt vintage amp. I bought 1930s tweed suitcase and installed a Weber Ceramic Signature 10s speaker. (Weber's decripton: 8 Ohms General purpose ceramic 10. 10", 20oz ceramic magnet, 25 watt, 1" voice coil, seamed, ribbed cone. Bright, woody, reedy tone.) When I boost the lows and highs with an Aphex Guitar Xciter it sounds great. With the suitcase open a couple inches, it sounds a little bigger and fuller.

    cool,what sounds better closed back or open back suitcase ;)?

    Open a little like the side view photo sounds the best.

    That's really cool, and would make a great travel suitcase for a guitar-playing on-the-road salesman! You could stuff your clothes in there and everything... I don't think I'd check that suitcase on an airplane though unless you installed a titanium mesh grill over the speaker. :jo :AOK

    I just replaced the grill with chair caning that stained brown. it looks much better. I'll post photos when I have a chance. I might have to wait a few days though.

    That is one of the coolest things I have seen in a long while - two thumbs way up!!!
