So I need a great echo. I've been really impressed with what I've heard about the Skreddy but I have been waiting before I get anything to see what the Lovepedal echo is going to be about. Anyone have any info??

I think the real question on all of our minds is, which version will sound best - the Burst Echo, Handwired Echo, Tour Version SMD Echo, White Kanji Echo, Black Kanji Echo, or the Burst Handwired Echo. I'm sure I've left out a few.

Asking for info regarding any of Sean's pedals imho is pretty much useless.

Ever see all the descriptions on his limited run pedals?
    Vague at it's very best.

My advice to you is get the Skreddy Echo. Tape simulation doesn't get any better than that.

I believe Sean mentioned that his Echo sounds/will sound better than Cornish's. So if it does sound better, when we hear it in year 2010, you'll probably have enough funds to purchase it, assuming you start saving a dollar a day beginning today.

Nothing against Sean's marketting (I've got a Kanji E, COT Burst, Gold Karl Fuzz to my name by the way) but Skreddy Echo gets my vote due to availability and because it HAS lived up to the hype.

Well, I waited as long as I could for the LP echo, got a good deal on a Chandler rack echo so now I have that. I just kinda wish it was a pedal but it sounds sooo good! I'm going to get a EP-Pre to run in front of it. I'm sure the LP will be good.

This is definitely the year of the echo. Analogman is coming out with one too, as is Malekko, and the XO version of the DMM might finally show up in the USA and so on. Good times, times, times...

Oh and the Boss DD-7 as well, which plenty of digital folks were waiting for. And did the Memory Lane 2 come out last year? Well we're living in the golden delay age for sure!

According to my co-worker Ban Tan Quach, it's actually the year of the Ox.
I'm not sure if it's true bypass though......

Skreddy Echo sounds pretty damn close... from the clips at least.

The best I've had/heard is called a big Lloyde Dee-layer.

Wampler analog echo is also great. I'd put those two up against anything and they are inexpensive.

no tap tempo on the skreddy. i neeeeed tap tempo.

i like how i legitimately am excited for the LP Echo, and everyone takes it as an opportunity to jump on Sean. Sure, he does things that annoy me from time to time, but generally his pedals sound awesome. i'm sure his echo will rock. i just hope it comes out sooner than later- i'm running out of space and barely resisting the urge for a ML2 or something similar.

I wasn't trying to jump on Sean - I think he is a very talented builder and makes great pedals. I was just poking fun at some of his marketing strategies. ;)
