Congrats that's an amazing deal but looks like it's over
I’ve got a timmy v3 coming tomorrow in non-lovepedal fun. Very excited to try that!
but, also very excited for this blackface deluxe, whenever that may be. All the videos of it sound very good, nice different shade of dirt.
SST-Trem would probably get my $$. I'd be curious with any SST combo that shows up, but Trem would be first on my list. Was playing my SST this morning; always good stuff.
Liking the Vanilla Mojo Zen - anybody know if this can be run at 18V? @MAGICboy?
How about the Mk II SuperLead? IMO somewhat underappreciated around here. It even fits between JTM and Jube chronologically...
Eager to learn more about the JMP myself. Those are my favorite Marshalls.
Yup I have the Marshall JMP1 and it is glorious. The Hi1 setting on my Mesa TA15 is clearly Plexi too. Plexi and metal face Marshalls just kill.
I have limited use for the Super Lead MKII. But I love the sound and feel of that one. I don't have anything else like it.
Always in favor of extra EQ for flexibility myself - that active EQ in the Hi Volt is perfect.
My vote for a double would go to SST + amp, too. Either MIAB or FIAB flavor could be greatness.
ChicagoJoe's idea of fuzz/COT/echo sure would make an awesome triple though.
While we're tossing ideas out, would you ever consider doing an over-the-top wild spitty fuzz?
Absolutely love the sound, feel, and cleanup of both the Fuzz 50 & Mk III. Amazing, and inspiring in the best way.
Still, IMO it might be worth sacrificing the hallmark controllable response (just once) for something totally uncivilized...
According to the man himself:
"Purple plexis, HI VOLTs 9VDC only! All other DIRT can go 18VDC. They actually sound better to my ears sagged to around 7.6VDC; some old FAB 50s from 2001 I put in a divider and sagged them to 7.6VDC internally..
Any modulation needs to stay at 9VDC ISO. ALWAYS email me if you are un sure to save a trip back here please "
The only other no-go I know of for 18V is the Jubilee. All Zens definitely okay for it.
It'd be interesting to hear Sean + Alf's take on a reverb + trem dual pedal. Put in the Baby Face circuit but with rate, depth, and volume knobs and no tap, then the HSR-3 for rev, with its current set of controls. Maybe toss in an order switch just cuz!
And you know what I would LOVE to see, is a digital display for trem rate on a pedal that isn't a $400 10-knob beast (and since they have presets it's less needed than on a simpler pedal). Love to see this also for other mod type rates or for delay time on a delay. I've never been sure why that's not common. It's such a pain getting these things just right, and for faster rates / shorter delays, it's hard even with a tap switch. With a simple 3-digit display you could just remember, "Oh ya China Grove is 340" and get it right on the first crouch.
@MAGICboy hear me out i’ve seen it in a dream once and it’s haunting me since then. Low-gain but gnarly and warm germanium big box Amp11 in Daphne Blue with black print. No kidding, it’s the only literally “dream” pedal I have in my mind. Only with your help my dream may come true.
Yes, looking into those too....
i'd buy that
Bummer - I asked and I guess individual stores can “get out” of a product line.
Really? For me the only thing after Tremolo is reverb. Basically Everything else goes before.
First "on my list", not first "in line", if ya get me.
I'd want SST into trem, for sure.
I found that Tremolo in the last spot of my FX loop was strongest and clearest sounding.
SST+Believe/Joker Octave or SST+Chicken would be pretty interesting. ;-)
Super Sic Tone/Elephant Man (maybe with a Stinger mid boost switch or eq)
Otherwise, SST/Valve Reamer or SST/Kalamazoo With an order switch would be pretty slick as well.
