The switches don't work and that is really the only thing that has to work for a looper. 1234 and it doesn't come on or it won't stop on time. Been like that for years just can't take it anymore. MXR Clone Looper is next on the list.

Known issue with TC soft switches on all their pedals. There is even a DIY repair instruction in the web somewhere about this. It scared me off buying TC.

it was just a gag for us. Never looked into if there was a band that used the name.

I've been looking hard at the Clone Looper. While I haven't had any issues (yet) with my Ditto Stereo, the extra switch and features of the CL are appealing.

Was not any info on it when I bought the pedal been struggling with it for years can't afford a repair and doing it myself is almost as expensive. Going with the somewhat lower costing MXR product because it will work and they will support it if there are issues. Wouldn't take a TC Electronics pedal if you paid me and I am broke.

Got it. I've certainly read a lot about TC's foot switch problem, but just thought it was one of the trendy bandwagon complaints since I never experienced it first hand in all the various TC products I've owned. Again, my little Ditto has performed flawlessly, but I'm in the market for one with stereo outputs and have read an exception amount of complaints on the X2. It just seems odd to me that there can be such a drop-off in quality amongst the Ditto family. I'm not going to tempt fate and more than likely will opt for the EH 720. :aok

I try to respect the businesses I patronize and do business with folks I like. Using guitar shops (or private sellers for that matter) as a "free rental service" is gross.

I appreciate that. I'm sure it can be "made to work", but I think I agree. It's not a cheap guitar, and yes it's business.

I guess where the emotion comes in is that I know what it's like to bust your @ss in sales and not get paid. It sucks. Hopefully, they're accommodating.

I use a Digitech Jamman XT and it’s been rock solid for the past couple years.

Funny thing in my Ditto story the original I upgraded from and gave away works perfectly and the guy loves it years later.

I swear I'll shut up about it eventually, but the black glass sounds great with every guitar that I have. Singles to hums, low to medium-high output, everything. Very unusual IME for a fuzz. @MAGICboy, you did a fantastic job on this one.
