Yes indeed. Like a clean and quieter New OrLeans French quarter. Better history and we drunks are laid back and smooth with no violence.

Sean has actually said he doesn't want this, IIRC. I guess it'd take the mystery out of it? So we just make do with "off the cuff" description when people ask. It's even worse for Eternities, there's been a plethora of versions of that!

And.... sorry I didn't read the whole thread before I replied, in true TGP fashion!

Sitting here listening to Trooper on vinyl after a long day. Good times!

Perhaps you could recommend giving Margaritaville a listen?

What an SNS!!! Certainly my biggest ever by a longshot, though I've only been around a short time.

After scooping a 5E3, Gold Zendrive II, and Dover Drive, I found myself winning the white COT50! @MAGICboy, you are a true mensch!

As for my past Lovepedals, I'm really bonding most with my Brownface Deluxe. I think I even might be ready to make it my always-on dedicated clean tone! So smooth, yet maintains bite through the sweep of the guitar's volume... remarkable.

    Anyone else love the Brownface?

One of my favorites. Tone sweetener for sure. Yes always on....
I can't believe they go for 50bones now.

I can't believe *any* pedal by Sean / Alf are sold new at $50. We've got the best deal in tone with these SNS shenanigans!

Had a talk with Sean last night.
It's got me all intrigued with this Vintage Modern pedal. I think I got the name right LOL
Anybody heard this thing yet is there a demo?

No demos that I'm aware of, not even from wallet robber (yet). I've ordered one so I'm chomping at the bit to find how it sounds, especially how the purple plexi modern side compares to the regular pedal. I've already sold on my purple plexi with boost so I won't be able to compare them side by side. Both sides on their own should offer real versatility, and then stacked it should just sing/snarl.

I too am curious about this one. I passed on it as I already have a purple plexi plus boost but after reading more on it I think it may fit my playing better. It’s a COT50 and a purple plexi in the same box, right?

Yes, the vintage side is a modified COT50 with a special taper master volume control while the modern side is based off the Purple Plexi circuit with a log taper master volume control.

Why did you sell your purple Plexi with Boost if I may ask?

You may indeed. There was nothing wrong with it, I just wasn't using the clean boost side much. If I need that at the end of my signal chain I have a boost option built into my Empress Buffer+. The idea of a COT50 based circuit with a volume control is new I believe, and appealing. I thought I would use that far more and it would be a great combination stacked with the purple plexi side. It just made sense for the way I use the respective pedals. Win / Win as far as I was concerned.

I've thought the same thing about the boost on my purple plexi. I love how the plexi sounds and love how the boost sounds, but keep thinking I would enjoy a COT in place of the jfet boost, and would love it even more in front of the purple plexi.

Yeah he's done the volume control on the cot before. But it never quite worked right. Apparently he's got that fixed

The Plexi 100 is sort of a COT with a Master. Wonder
how the COT on the Vintage/Modern is similar or
    different to that. :huh
