I played the new AC30S1 and thought it sounded exceptional. I think the price is very low too, I don't what it is in USD though.

    Worth checking out.

I'm a bit surprised that no one mentioned the Super Champ XD or X2. I bought two used in mint condition, upgraded the speaker and put in new tubes and was still under 6 bills for both. I have other larger tube amps and I play the little Fenders all the time at home. Could easily handle small gigs and handle pedals very well.

Another vote for used. It's always smart to check the emporium before buying anything new for 2 reasons. Better prices plus you get to see which amps everyone are selling. If dozens of people are moving amp XXX from brand YYY then it tells ya it's probably not that good of an amp.

I’d keep away from the DSL, mine blew the power tubes the very week I bought it!! Absolutely rubbish build...It was the DSL100H.

Jet City or Bugera infinium. Cheap but sound great.

Low cost tube amps...old/odd ball PA's and such. A bit of bench time by a gifted amp tech (sent the se 6L6 to Skip Simmons...worth every penny...came back as a princeton on steroids) and there is a potential for a phenomenal lifetime amp. $65 for a se 6L6, $67 for a pre-octal pp 6v6, $50 for a se6v6 and $25 for a se el84...and the cheapest didn't need a thing but a small diy repair to the 12" cone.

I'd suggest a Jet City JCA 20H if you really only need one channel; otherwise the JCA 22H, and grab the cab of your choice with the change.

    Monoprice. People love them.
DSL and Bassbreaker aren't the best tone.

I thought the Ibanez Tube Screamer Amp was pretty cool. There are 15 and 30 watt versions. I only played through one at a store so I have no idea about quality long term.
