Low-Gain, Smooth, Warm Fuzz

Hello!

I'm strictly a rhythm player of an indie folk band. I have an idea in my head of a low gain fuzzy tone that will be really tame. I don't want that ruthless-abandon fuzz sound, I'm thinking the nice fuzzy warmth you feel after a shot or two of whisky. Haha, does that make sense?

I'm overwhelmed by all of the fuzz options, and there aren't too many demo clips for rhythm players.

Any advice?

When I want low gain warm fuzz I run my dunlop mini germanium through my TS9 with the drive set at 1 and roll off my guitar's volume as required.

If you're looking to stay on the less expensive side check out Noisemaker Effects Orange Crush. I'm not sure if they're still making that one, but they might have a few other options.

Greer Orange Crush. Extremely touch responsive as well.

Edit: Also agree on the Astrotone.
