Low output single coils on a semi-hollowbody?

I have and like playing 24.75" scale guitars, but miss the dynamics of single coils and the tighter, more powerful sound of the wound strings (especially the low E) on 25.5" guitars. What would a 24.75" scale semi-hollowbody sound like if one were to put low output (let's say, strat-style) single coils on it? How would the sound of the wound strings differ from that produced by a 24.75" solidbody with humbuckers?

I bought a Fender Starcaster and put vintage-spec wide range humbuckers in it, and it gives me tones somewhere between a Tele and an ES-335, which is what I was looking for! I much prefer it to my 24.75" scale Ibanez semi-hollow.

Thanks, that's an interesting video! I'll listen to it again through headphones in order to ascertain if the wound string sound full and tight as I'd like.
