Hi,

What can you suggest for a cheap, low-wattage practice combo amp with good amp models and built-in effects?

I was considering the discontinued TM10 as I think the sounds are pretty good, but I don't think it has any effects.

Maybe a Vox VT series? Roland Cube?

Which do you prefer?

Thanks

I use a Vox DA5. Small, easy to carry, inexpensive and does the job as a practice amp.

The Vox VT series are a good choice in my opinion for practice/home playing. I just found a used Vox AD50VT 2x12 on ebay for home use that I'm awaiting delivery on. Total cost was $240 and the amp was in MINT condition.

Being a home player/hobbyist, and having gone through (and still own 2) tube amps, for practice and home use (for me anyway) digital modelers make the most sense. I like the tone from tubes, but just can't crank the darn things at home. Even my Genz Benz Black Pearl on the 8 watt setting is pretty loud.
