Alright, so I have Classic Player's Jazzmaster and I want to know how to lower the pot value to make it less bright and have more mids. What will I need to do this? How do I do it?

Hmm. I'm guessing it already has 250s in it... Don't know if you would want to go much lower than that.

    New pickups perhaps?

You can reduce treble but I don't think you will actually add any mids.
