I still havent heard many people talking about the pro model. I just bought one and they are one awsome lp. They have everything a lp could have and then some. I have owned alot of lp's and this one blows em out of the water hands down. Whats your thoughts.

I will be buying one in a matter of days. Just waiting for Santa to bring me some Xmas $$$ from my parents. I am sitting on around $1400 and should get enough for Xmas to pull the trigger shortly after Xmas or New Year's. I am waiting for Music 123 or MF to have one of their 20% off sales so I can use it as leverage at GC. I don't like buying guitars unless I can play it first. Especially a $2000 guitar!

Once you play it you will want to take it home, i went to the candy store to just look at them and the the salesmen ask me if i wanted to play it then i was hooked and had to take it with me.

I agree...they are nice guitars.

True Story:

I was in GC about 6 months ago looking at guitars...I pulled one of the LP Pros down and played it for a while....but since I wanted to try some of the other guitars in the store as well, I put it back on the wall and tried some of the others. When it was time to go back to it, some other dude had it and was playing it. I started talking to the dude about it and he wasnt sure if he liked it.....so, I started 'down playing it' and hoping that he would put it back. I must have followed him around for about 30 minutes (like a dork) trying to talk him out of it....but he never put it back.

He bought it.

Good for him......stupid mistake by me.

Spent some time with one recently. Sounded great and played exceptionally well. Gibson really hit the mark on this one and I'd like to see them expand the color options.

Yeah, the goldtop needs to be a standard offering. Would like to see a bourbonburt or ice tea also!!

I bought the heritage cherry sunburst and love it but more color options would be nice, but maybe a limited color may make these a collectors item some day, they are supposed to be a limited run.

I plan on owning one at some point in 2010. I've been doing research on various LP models and unless something used speaks to me the Traditional Pro will be the one that I get.

I've played a few and thought they sounded good...but I couldn't get past the spray paint smell on the back. Maybe it fades after awhile?

Very nice guitar, I really liked mine while I had it. I got mine for $1600 new from musicians friend sale. I didn't get along with the neck carve in the end. Somehow I ended up with a 2009 LP Standard (with Asymetrical neck) that I got on here for $1400...
:thud
Still not sure why that was so cheap, in the back of my mind I'm wondering if that one had fallen off the back of a truck or something? That one is gone too, STUPID MOVE! I should have kept it, the neck was amazing and the long tenon/chambering made for one hell of a tonally unique LP.
Anyway, Trad Pro's are very nice gits.

I have one in Vintage Burst. I quickly shed it's clothes though. Pickguard and poker chip fell off like a dress on prom night.

Poker chip?

I've toyed with the idea of taking off the Pickguard but I can't decide. Probably just need to take it off and see what I think.
