    Is this the LP Forum?
    Sure looks like it!
    :D

Not that I'm complaining...just an observation.
I'm the proud owner of a Historic '57 Goldie Darkback LP that kills me everytime I pick it up.
I remember when we had alot of haters of the Gibson ouerve here.
Everything seems to run in cycles...

It's always been a big LP forum (though many were in the closet). There's been a lot of hate for LPs/Gibsons, but even during those waves of acrimony I always noticed that LPs in the emporium consistently got snapped right up while other killer guitars just sat.

I must admit that for all the talk of fancy boutique stuff, I still have an LP that I love.

I was just thinking earlier today that it looks like Strats are flavor of the month.

The VOS series seems to be a slam dunk for gibby - the '58 i have is simply killer. fit, feel and tone all there.

Yeah they are a bunch of Gibson lovin nazis over there.

In any case, you'll find a love/hate thing goin on with Gibson here IME.

On a personal note, my LP Classic+ is cool, but I wish I was more educated when I bought it. Now I'd LIKE a historic (With some conditions), but that's another story.

I don't hate Gibson for the same reason I don't hate the Yankees - how can you hate something in another league you don't even care about?

I have one Gibson, a nice 335 would make it two and probably all I'd ever own. I'm a Strat/Tele guy. I wouldn't trade my LP Classic either because everybody that I know who's a LP guy wants my guitar, so I keep it just to spite them. :) They hate me even more knowing that it sits at home most of the time never seeing the light of day.

Everybody here knows I'm no fan of Gibson..........but I picked up a LP Standard Fadded that I'm just Ga ga about. I'm even going the WCR/RS Route and giving her the full treatment. I might even send it to a repairshop with a PLEK system to get it perfect. Gibson makes some good guitars.......but you gotta find them. And when I can do that for under $1500 (very rare ) I'm a seriously happy camper! :AOK
