1. The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. We listen, we learn and if we misstep we are not afraid to do the right thing. We proposed some changes to the Emporiums. Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

i've had 3 of them and they've been great.the drivers were iffy under win2k but are nice and stable now.they're nice sounding, clean, reliable and cheap
what's not to like? (well other than the dongle hanging out the back :) )

For the price, they aren't bad. Don't pay over $200 for them. You'll see these used on Ebay all the time for nearly half that. Just make sure the breakout cables are solid.

I've owned two for a few years, and they're solid but a touch dark, and the imaging could be better. Latency is a little high IMO. The drivers are now stable, and support everything.

Are you planning on getting more than one? If so, you might want to check out the Echo AudioFire series. A little pricier, but been getting pretty good press. Some say it's comparable to the RME stuff. Though these are firewire and not PCI.

Some stuff I did with these:

    Original (I'm on keys): http://www.myspace.com/moodswing1

Live Demo of Wife's band (Except Respect, and Dream a little Dream): http://www.cloudnyne.com/audio.asp

that's me on guitar and drums.glad you like it mang.

as to what nuskool said about latency- i've never had any latency issues with mine but they've all been in purpose built daws.
and he's right - don't pay over 2 bills for one and be careful with the breakout cables.
