M13 software updates

I just got an M13 on eBay. I know zip about this unit and the updates except that people recommend them to be installed. The seller advertised this unit as being updated to "version 4, 100 models". Is that up to date? If not what should I update it to and how do I do it? I have a PC. Thanks in advance.

The current version is 2.01. You definitely will want to make sure that you're updated.

I recommend that you make a scene backup before updating the firmware if you don't want to lose your user scenes (user presets):

The update was easier than I anticipated it being. Granted, I already happened to have a USB-Midi module lying around, but if you follow the instructions that Line 6 gives, you're pretty much set. At least, I was. (Btw, I did it with the Mac OS. Windows shouldn't be too different)
