More new mac user stuff and haven't even gotten it yet.
I assume using garagband I cna make simple clips and upload them without any converting to sites such as soundclick and youtube, right? I did a clip or two a year ago with my pc to soundclick and it was easy enough. I just get worried the Mac might hinder some simple things liek that, but am sure it really won't.

No problem. Garageband exports to Itunes. In Itunes you can set your preferences for importing to any mp3 rate you would like. It will either do the conversion on the import or you can change it after the fact.

    Cool, thanks.
What about...a regular song I burn to the system say by Hemrdix, can I easily chop that song into pieces to mess with?

Yup, open iTunes and import your audio files, then you can go to iTunes
Advanced file menu and compress the files down to MP3

The new converted file will be saved to your iTunes folder
and you can find it by simply clicking the iTunes File Menu
and scroll down to '"Show Song File"

When you select Browse file from the Soundclick upload page, that's where
    it will be.

For convenience, you can also simply drag a copy of the file to
another custom named folder or your desktop.
