Macht 6

Playing my Savage Macht 6 this morning.....was thinking of trading for something different but what a great sounding little box.....the more it heats up the fatter it sounds........Have a chance to trade for a 12 but not sure I need the extra volume............but I guess better to have it and not need it .......any thoughts from owners of both.

I've owned both and they're amazing amps. The Macht 12 is definitely giggable with a drummer. If you're thinking about playing out, I'd make the trade. The 6 is fantastic but you won't have much in the way of cleans if you're playing with a drummer and it could get buried unless you keep it close to you and mic it. I used the 12 with a treble booster and it was awesome for rock gigs. If you don't plan on playing out though, I'd keep the 6.

For what it's worth, I have a Rohr 15 now and it's not going anywhere.

Thanks Shred ....being in Minnneapolis I can wander into the shop anytime ...........and I am a little curious about the Schatten.
