Hey, we lost the DD30 thread in meltdown number one! Who else has one of these? What are you stacking it with? Are you digging yours as much as I am mine?

I have found that it loves to be pushed, no...shoved around by the Timmy. I can't wait for Marcus' next creation. I am hoping that Paul C. will do a pedal with Marcus and we get something really cool.

I got one a couple weeks back, and although not having too much time with it (damn Bar Prep classes) I am really liking it. I did a big OD shootout a week or so back with about 12 pedals, Klon/KOT/COT/etc, and the ones I ended up keeping - - - - the DD-30, Tim, and a Carb.
They are great and I am loving my board right now.

Has anyone compared the DD30 and the BJF EGDM?
I wonder how they are similar and different.

Well, Marcus just told me there are only 7 in existence with 2 in the works. I have #3 from batch 1. I guess the owners list will be quite short until Marcus can catch up with the demand.

    ..."three is the magic number"

One of the coolest things about the thing is how it changes the tone of anything put infront of it.

I run mine (#A5) relatively clean... dirt at 3'oclock, volume at 9'oclock - Green and T.

That add some overall thickness with a SD-1 in front with vol at noon, gain at 9oclock, and tone at about 11 oclock. Overall tone doesnt' change... just get's thicker.

Guaytone Zoom clone, Ibanez PDS-1, and Black Dog all sound complete different in front of the DD30. The mids change greatly, and the high end isn't as shrill on those boxes (the Zoom and Black Dog can get pretty biting).

With the DD30 set like that however, I am finding I have to back the bass on my amp down a hair from how I normally set it.

    I gots #1.....Biyatches!!!

..and I will have it until I breathe my last.
One hell of a killer pedal. Puts a smile on my face everytime I click it on and get instant "Voxitude"

    Nice!

So, anybody played one through an AC30? Did time warp into another dimension?

I have A7 and I am loving this thing!! I also stack it with the Butler audio tube driver going into it and it's awesome. The tone is fantastic and allows the guitar to be really articulate. I use it with my les paul and it is really ROCKin.

I stack mine with a Timmy and get similar results. What amp are you using?

It's amazing what this pedal does to a 6L6 Fender. It changes the 6L6 Palette Minuette too, but not like my Fender Blues Deluxe. I just realized I have never plugged it into my Vox Cambridge. I'll do that tomorrow.

So what happened? Did it sound good or did you rip a hole in the space time continum or did you find Shania Twain's wooden foot?

    By "Tomorrow" I meant, "June 29th". ;)

...I should have time to do that tomorrow, for real this time.

......and when I say tomorrow, I mean today...as it is technically tomorrow now.
