In the existing MP demos, I'd really want to know how the AMP is set.
The MPOldSchoo51's claim to fame is being very flexible with a wide variety of amp-sounds it can mimic.
The sound we hear is the summation of the pedal and the amp.

one or two notes at the very beginning is an insufficient demo of the platform, imo, and makes it more difficult for me to separate the pedal from the amp.
How will it sound on a clean DDRI vs Vox AC vs Marshall vs DI.
Oh well, hopefully this will all start showing up in demos in the next few months... Can't wait to hear it on a Silvertone 1484/83, clean, with an open back cab.

    :D

How’s it going with this thing? Still rockin’ it?
It seems there are no demos yet, except for the MP videos. Still curious if this can do nice crunchy or muted power chord rhythm tracks,or get a little more intense, than the excellent but polite fuzzy ‘dad rock’ lead tones so far shown.

I would love to know how well this works going into a clean power amp; something like the Hotone Loudster for a complete pedalboard-mounted rig.
It would also be nice to know how the LnP fuzz circuit behaves with a pedal in front of it.

This thread appears to have fizzled out. Was the honeymoon brief?

I’ve been holding out~. It seems to be more of a specialty vintage tone box, at least on you tube so far.
Love vintage Marshall tones, but plinky or fuzzy, as charming and authentic as they may be, are not the tones I’m seeking. Really like to hear from anyone who’s played one.

I have one, I haven't really bonded with it. I have the Twimble and love it and jumped on the Loud and Proud shortly after purchasing the Twimble. The demos are great, but I haven't been able to cop the Yngvie tone, or some of the others in that demo posted on page 1. It is a decent MIAB for sure, the fuzz/boost option offers a lot of possibilities. Huge boost, BTW.. I keep thinking there may be better Fuzzfaces, and better single Marshall type pedals. I want to try it in a few different spots in the chain, but seriously thinking of listing it in the Emporium or reverb soon if it doesn't jive with the setup.

Buzzard - It is based on a JTM45, so yes, more vintage sounding (not a bad thing) than the more common pushed - Plexi thing.

    Bump...

still want to try one...but not convinced that its a world of improvement over an Exotic SL drive, etc...

I'm interested in this pedal as well. Can't really get much from this video as he doesn't give his clean tone, and he keeps the volume on the pedal on maximum at all times, which must be much louder than his clean signal. Not at all how I would use it.

    Anyone else tried it yet?

I've had this thing for a while. Somehow I forgot the pedal after the first test. Yesterday I played it with my Seymour Duncan Powerstage 170 through my Friedman 1x12 cabinet and was very excited. This combination works very well for me!

I’ve got one in the mail. Can’t wait to get it in my chain! I’ll give any of you guys who care to know the full low down.

There’s very little out there at this point besides some very impressive demos. Impressed me enough to take the plunge anyway. I had just about enough to cover it in Reverb bucks so...
If it doesn’t work out, I can just return/flip it.

I’ve been through a fair amount of MIABs. Vintage 4 hole Marshall tone is what I’m after. Clapton, Jimmy, Jimi... You call it Dad Rock, I call it the greatest rock music ever made . So far the Menatone WMB and Zvex Distortron are the top of the heap.

It’s too bad we can’t see what’s going on under the hood. The OP’s pic was the first gut shot I’ve come across. MP’s other AIABs seem to be mostly JFET designs so that’s a good sign. We’ll see.

He uses one in the demo of "All Along the Watchtower" above^.

Also, what is the fuzz supposed to be based on?
