For whatever reason what popular & sucessful bands/performers have never (sorry) struck a chord with you.

    To start, for me...
    The Rolling Stones
    Kiss
    CCR
    Van Halen
    Neil Young
    Foo Fighters
    Boston
    GNR

In no particular order (and thanks to the OP for a couple of reminders):

    The Stones
    Kiss
    CCR
    Skynard
    The Band
    The Cars
    Nirvana
    Bob Seger
    GFR (from "American Band" on)
U2 (some of the early stuff is good, but the production is awful)

    And more I'm sure.

    Ramones

plenty of others, but those get unwarranted praise, I feel.
I know I'll get all sorts of bewildered responses about the Beatles, but, take away the hype, and there is no substance.

    The Grateful Dead
Bad Company (but give me Free any day)
    U2
    Richard Thompson
    Green Day
Ramones (I added this after reading another poster; I saw the movie about them and was terribly bored)
    The Strokes
and many more I can't remember (if I don't like 'em, I don't listen to them, so I forget them)

    Ah, yes, The Eagles.
Superficially, I thought I liked em, so I bought the Hell Freezes Over DVD. When I eventually woke up from the boredom induced coma, I threw abohter log on teh fire, hoping global warming would thaw Hell out again.
Great musicainship, really wonderful interaction wiht so many gits on teh stage, but BORING !!!!!!!!!!!!! Don Felder looked like a department store dummy.

    Taste is subjective.

    But I don't understand that.

Unless you equate the Beatles with the "Beatlemania" of pre-1966.
