Red Snapper will give some chime with light OD, hold on to highs, hold on to bass, and not boost mids. So it may do this (I listened to the intro) of the first clip.

I dont know if this helps, but it looks like he's strumming really close to the bridge the whole time. So, that might contribut to that punchy, cutting sound.

    Luca,

I've spent my entire guitar playing years chasing Bruce's Various tones.

To make it easy on you, try this--

Tele(I currently have bare knuckle "The Boss" pickups in it> Boss OD-2>MXR D+(get a vintage one)>some slapback> Bassman type amp. He's using Boogies at the point of those videos, but the Bassman does very nicely.

PM me if you want to know anything else.

Maple neck, vintage p/ups. Bruce likes things bright.

OD3 gets close too. I use a marshall comp into an OD3 with a magicstomp twinizer sound with 2 doublers into a class A combo with a healthy dose of spring for most Brucey Boss stuff.
OT: Quite shocked that old Bruce is having trouble singing rockin' all over the world in A, I've gotta scream it in C. That's made my day!

    well..........

    and mmmmmm.........

if you want a tele that sounds really strong, get TA pickups, Tv1 and TV3, but they will make the tele sound great.

If you want that sound, i wouldn't know.

There is a nice little tale that happened to Mr Bruce some years ago in Argentina, i might come back later and tell you about it, hahahahhahah, but he realized he wasn't the "boss" everywhere he played, ahahhahahah.
