    Hello,
I have a Spring Chicken w/Dwell. When I turn the control knob back to the lowest setting it starts to feedback, and grows in volume until I move the knob clockwise about 1/4 inch. Makes no difference where the dwell control is set. Also happens if I unplug the input from an audio source, which tells me that it requires no audio signal to start the feedback. My old regular SC did not do this.

    Anyone?

    Thanks all.

Not yet. Just trying to see if this is a me only issue, or if anyone was familiar with the issue. Maybe this is something to do with the Dwell feature.

    Did so, as you suggested.

    Thanks.

i tried to email you but it got bounced back.
    here is what i wrote
    Hello,
If the feedback (dwell) pot is set to "zero" (fully counter clockwise) it should be the same as an unmodified Spring chicken...if you turn the pot all the way up it should feedback on itself.
    Does this help?

That is probably the oscillation you're hearing, right?

Hello, and thanks for the response. Not sure about the email. Its a work email, so maybe it was kicked back by a filter (or maybe I typed it in wrong).

Not knowing for sure which way was up for the dwell knob, I tried in both positions (fully ccw and cw). It does the buildup of feedback when the dwell knob is at both max and min position. It only does this when the Cluck knob is set below 270 degrees/9 o'clock. So, somewhere between 7 and 8 o'clock (8 being turned fully ccw). Again, turning the dwell knob to either extreme (and also turning off the pedal) makes no difference.

Finally, some troubleshooting that's actually fun to perform.

    Thanks all.
