Can anyone recommend a decent mandolin that comes with a pickup installed? Or, in the alternative, a good pickup for mandolin? I'm a long-time guitar player but mando-newbie, so I'm not looking to leap directly to a Collings or anything, but I'd like to upgrade from the low-end Oscar Schmidt I have now. Thanks.

I just today ordered an LL Baggs Radius M for my Ibanez F Series. Can be mounted internal or external removable and no preamp needed and has 1/4" out. These are the same kind used on violins and keeps natural tonality not a piezo quack. I chose it over a Fishman since they recommend using a separate preamp on theirs plus pro install recommended. I love my F series Ibanez (new model)

I think most all of the Rigel mandolins (no longer in production) come with internal PUs.
