My brothers kids are getting to be pretty good players and are looking to buy some new gear. Last month one of them bought a Carvin Nomad.
The other is now looking at either the Haze 40 or HR Deluxe III.
I've played through both them at GC and the both have pretty good tone for a $700 amp.

Just curious, what you all here at TGP might lean towards.

    Thanks

The haze is a cheap Chinese amp. Sam ash was selling them for $398.
I wanted to like it, but the first one they brought out was broken !
The next one worked ok. Not impressed with the tone at all.
It's kind of Marshally, but not like the real thing.

I'm a guy that thinks the Haze is a major Marshall let-down and the HRD III's are a huge improvement for Fender... but then again, I might be a bit biased. LOL

Honestly, to my ears the Haze sounds like crud and the HRD III's have many more useable sounds and are very pedal friendly.
