    Hello,
Just bought this (my first) tele a couple days ago. Recorded a couple clips this morning and was hoping to get some input. Let me know what you think of the tone and any suggestions you have.

Its my new Mark Jenny Relic, (Ash/Rosewood) into a Fuchs ODS Bassman mod in a Glaswerks 1x12xl with a Celestion 12-65. It has the pickups from a Fender Joe Strummer model.

First clip is with the bright switch on. I play clean starting on the neck, then middle, then bridge. Then do the same with OD.

I am not playing the rhythm, just lead.

throaty/ glassy sounds from the neck sound sweet; back p'up has a nice girth to it.

    Stephan,

As usual playing and tone are fantastic!

I do prefer the clip without the bright cap on.

Thanks Jim. They are a blast.

Thanks! They are pups from a Fender Joe Strummer model. I can't find any definitive information on them. The web site says "vintage style" pickups with alnico mags. I called fender and all they could add was that they are Alnico 5 mags but had no specs. I read that some suspect that the JS model is just a reliced MIM Classic 60's tele and that would make them the cheaper 50's neck and 60's bridge pups. But this is all a guess. I was originaly thinking of swaping them out for some Lollars but I might live with these for a bit. Don't sound half bad.
How are those London Knights!! :)

    Thanks Paul!!!
