marshall 4x12 cab history

does anyone have a history of the different 4x12 marshall cabs. like when basketweave was used, when s&p grill was used. etc

they crossover...basketweave and checkercabs...I think the checkers started appearing in late 70 early 71 and the basketweaves discontinued shortly therebouts...depending on material available at the Marshall cab factory I guess...

basketweave/S&P were 65 and later...I believe.

History of Marshall book by Mike Doyle has most of that. I think it's $24.95, plus you get a bunch of other good info.

"Marshall History" book by Doyle. It's not 100% accurate, but it has a lot of good info with good illustrations. I would call it the vintage Marshall bible.

You know, I heard there was a book out there something like History of Marshall, or Marshall history. I believe it was written by a guy named Doyle - about 25 bucks I believe.

i guess i should contact some guy named doyle. wonder if he has any books out. also, does S&P or weave go better with a black/red two tone head?
