    Hi there

This solid state amp was kept in an attic for about 20 years; it still plays, but after about 5 or 10 minutes, the volume slowly drops to zero.

Could this be the result of dried out filter caps or is there another reason? I saw nothing burned inside.

another interesting bit of troubleshooting info could be gotten by plugging your guitar into the RETURN jack and playing just through the power amplifier. Does it poop out after the 5-10 min period also? If so, you've narrowed things down to the power amp and/or power supply.
