Marshall JMP-1 Preamp alternative?

May not be the place to ask about this one, but I really love the sound of the JMP-1 in heavier music, but have no interest in having a rack setup. Is there a head that would approximate those sounds, or is there one that the JMP was modeled after for the heavier tones?

The JMD-1 modeled certain tones after the JMP-1 preamp.

Which channel? OD1 is a classic Marshall sound. OD2 is more modern/modded Marshall territory, maybe a little scooped. I'd bet a JVM would do those tones as well as anything else.
