What amp is this. A Marshall Type Head with a Plexi Sound and then to JCM 800 Territory with a Boost that will take it even Hotter than that.

    a cameron modified Jose marshall:
    low input is plexish
High input has two preamps and a push pull master:

What a bogner shiva if you tweak it right.

I would think Voodoo amps has something like that also

I have a new Quick Rod with seperate clean EQ and has the "Gear" switch that will take it from a classic Marshall vibe into the more modern JCM 800.

Ive been playing it in the 1st gear which has nice master volume-ized plexi vibe too it.

I just sold a Bray plexi and was wishing I hadnt. Was really wanting an amp with a loop though and got the QR on a trial basis and Im very happy.

Would you say that the "hot" marshall sound on the Quick Rod is more JCM 800 or JCM 900? Just curious. I've heard both....

Straub Cantus will give you Plexi to JMP50 hot-rodded to the
hottest over the top Marshall imaginable.

Aiken Saber....Plus a great Fenderesque clean that likes pedals and has a separate effects loop for each channel.

Framus Dragon, 3 channels, definitely in the marshall camp, has that brit EL34 thing going, 2 master volumes ( for boost), footswitchable.

    Check it out.

    Without a doubt.... TopHat Emplexador.

It is the best "Marshall" sounding amp I've ever played.....

I own an original script 100 watter that'll blow away the BEST JCM800's I've ever heard.

You just described the Groove Tubes Soul-O 50 to a "T". It has a 3 position adjustable pre-amp voltage knob and built in boost. http://www.groovetubes.com/product.cfm?Product_ID=2046

According to Myles Rose at GT, it has the exact front-end tone stack of a Plexi on the medium voltage setting with the boost pulled. Have GT load it with EL34s and ECC83s, and it will definately will cover tones from Plexi to JCM800 and beyond. I've had one of these since March and absolutely love it.
