Marshall + WGS Black Hawk HP 100?

    Anyone tried/has this combo in 1x12 config ??

    I have run a Germino Monterey 100 into a Forte 3D112 with BH HP several times and it sounds great. It's NOT a traditional sound at all, but it has merits of its own. I prefer the Germino 4x12 with Scumback M75-PVCs with the Monterey, but the BH is a great speaker...and currently my #1 choice for D-styles.

    Thanks Dave,

    I thought as much, watching the Jack Zucker vids on the Tube. It steers rather towards an Eric Johnson sound, and too much away from Marshall, I fear

    The Blackhawk sounded really good with my 50 watt Marshall, but a 100 watt Scumnico is more Marshallesque. The Blackhawk ended up in my Classic 30, where it preserved the Classic's ability to sound good with any guitar (neutral + neutral). The Marshall/Scumnico combo plays favorites, and likes my Les Paul best (no surprise there!). Both are great speakers.
