Does anyone know if there is any diference between the 2?
I had a look at Matchless' website and they are selling theirs for $180?
Is there special treatment on them ? Interested on how they actually sound compares to the g12h30?

I think they do an acetone trick to the G12H Anniversary. They remove a doping from a speaker.

The G12H is a great speaker, but I love the Vintage 30, it's THE speaker for this circuit for me. Sampson has tuned this circuit for the Vintage 30 speaker and he even used the Vintage 30 for his further amps (early Bad Cat amps, Star amps) that were very similar to his Matchless models.

What effect on the tone would removing the doping make?

Removing the doping makes the sound a little looser/fuller.

Which circuit? Would it matter if it a Spitfire or a Clubman, or a etc.?

What g12h type do you find works well on your Top Hat other than the G12H30 Anniversary? Particularly through the Club Royale circuitry? As that's the amp I'm using

The c30, the lightning, the spitfire, the nighthawk, bad cat early black cat and cub, star nova delux etc. They are all voiced very similar. I don't know much about el34 models, i'm more of el84 guy when we talk matchless.
