maxon sd9 copy on the HD500?

Has anyone some clues for on getting a maxon sd9 distortion pedal sound on my hd500?
Should I use the screamer with an eq after it? I dont have a maxon so can't compare.

Been fooling around with the classic distortion. This comes close in my ears. The screamer has not enough mids and gain.

Classic would be my first try as well. Usually I ended up with the Tube Driver, though.

A thought I had but never tried - running two ODs for a better tone match. The Screamer and Classic together maybe? I no longer have mine, so I can't try it.

I always end up back at the Tube Drive. It's amazing.

When I used to use humbuckers the screamer and classic distortion stacked extremely well together. Definitely give that a shot. Remember to keep the gain low on both of them.

yeah, the screamer into the Rat is the best solution. that, or try a comp into the Rat.
