    Check this out. http://www.pedalslam.com/html/mouse.html

Supposedly, it's a hybrid of the Pro-Co RAT and a TS-808. Whatever the case may be, the sound clips are pretty dang wicked! :Devil
Looks like it's got a few internal switches for tweaking the tone.

    What do y'all think?

Thanks for the heads up. That is cool to have a classic pedal-stack sound in one small pedal.

I really like the tone on the "chords" and "low-gain strat" clips where the pedal doesn't seem as compressed. Very interesting...

The whole MC-FX pedal line-up looks pretty happening, but it's a bit peculiar that you can only buy the stuff via ebay.

The guy (Jules) is cool if you want to come over and try em out - you have to be in Melbourne Australia though obviously. They also have a website IIRC, where you can buy direct. But yeah, no dealers. What irks me is that, with respect, they don't have much of a profile or a reputation, and yet their prices are around the same as more reputable boutique brands including shipping to Australia. For example, I could get an ICBM shipped to OZ for $20 less than the cost of their Opamp Muff clone..

I guess they're probably not going to break through until they knock out a pedal that's head and shoulders about everything else in it's price range.

Perhaps they'd agree to send some of their wares stateside for the next Pedal Fest and generate some word of mouth buzz. :AOK

In any case, I'll be interested to try a few of their dirt pedals.

I'm not crazy about the way they look (kind of boring), but the designs all seem like they'd be cool sounding. And shipping to the US isn't too expensive.

Mullet-man, thanks to your thread I just pulled the trigger on an MC-FX. With shipping to the US it came to $207. I'll be sure to post after I get a chance to try it out.

    cheers.

    Sweet! :D

Which one? And when is it due to arrive at your doorstep?

I've been thinking long and hard about a "Mouse" overdrive/distortion -- and/or a "Tube Creamer" which is a boutique TS-808 with some switchable mods. :drool

Definitely post a review once you've had a chance to fire it up and put it through it's paces.

Which version is it? The regular version or the one with the mini-toggles?

All I can add to this is that the Rat is my most best-est liked pedal of all time. It is ripe for mods and the Mouse is even using the old metal can LM308. Extra points for style.

I'm working on a Rat proto but it has more switches and knobs.

It changes the frequency response in the feedback loop. You can dial it from dirty boost to overdrive to all-out Rat badness. I couldn't think of a better name than Lube. I love that word. Here let me say it again: Lube.

    :)

    The MC-FX Mouse. :RoCkIn

Hurry up and get yours before they're not "cool" anymore. :roll

But seriously, I think MC-FX is going to sell a bunch of those things to TGP'ers once FATBACK gets some clips posted.

    Awesome! :AOK

When are you going to have some clips of that bad boy in action? (checked the site - didn't see any)

    Woo - first post!

I'm not getting a Mouse but I already own the Classic Compressor and the Screamin' Tubes Plus. Jules is a wonderful guy to deal with.

Hi jappy. Welcome to the gear page. :)

So what's the difference between the "Screamin' Tubes Plus" and the "Tube Creamer" ? Based solely on the clips and info provided @ pedalslam.com there doesn't seem to be one much if any difference between them.
