I'm looking for a medium gain, fat tone overdrive pedal, to use with a fender stratocaster guitar. Smooth but not dark or muddy.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

I don't know, I find my eternity to be of a higher gain nature, from noon to dimed on the clip control is pretty much the same level of saturation.

Absolutely without doubt one of the best and most versatile for this purpose:-

I just fell in love with my Barber Direct Drive (1st issue) again. Everytime I try something I wind up coming back to it. Go figure

I have played all of these xcept the KOB, cream tone, and blues devil. The fattest I have played is the Marshall Bluesbreaker I. The BBOD is very fat also.

Never played/heard a KOT, but the OCD I had was far from smooth. I found it to have a very hard, cold sound - like a Mesa Boogie MK IV IMO...

A Hermida Mosferatu might be the ticket as well - sounds very smooth with rich lows and lots of harmonics, sounded great with my Strat.

This pedal did not work for me untill I changed the chip. I seem to be in the minority here, but if I hadn't tried the included TL072, it would have been long gone. Makes the tone & clip controls much more reactive..
