Memory Lane Jr Modulation - almost imperceptible?

Turning the modulation knob fully clockwise, still the modulation on Memory Lane Jr seems imperceptible. What should I be listening for? Is this a super subtle effect?

I'd say its fairly subtle overall... I think it adds a nice chorusy sound, but never gets too extreme.

Check and make sure that it's not set to be turned on by holding down the tap button. It can be set to do that instead of doubling your speed. It's subtle, but not that subtle. I can hear it clearly when I kick it on, even in a band setting, and I keep my modulation set around 11 o'clock.

cool, I didn't know you could do that.

how do you set it that way?

i don't think it's very subtle at all cranked all the way up... i guess it depends on how many repeats you have it set for though.. i keep my mod knob around 11 o'clock for a subtle but noticeable setting.. much more than that and it starts getting a little to crazy for me... 4th mode however gets even crazier...

i would say that either a) something is not set right (like the tap switch mod function) or b) you have an issue.

This is likely the cause. Hold down the tap footswitch for a second or so... you should hear the modulation come on. Hold it down again and the modulation should turn off.

To change the pedal so that holding down the tap footswitch halves the delay time, hold down the tap while plugging a cable int othe input. Wait for the startup sequence (blinking lights) to happen twice. Modulation will now be always on and holding down the tap tempo switch will switch you to double time.

If you prefer to return to having the held tap switch turn the modulation on and off, simply repeat the startup procedure with the tap switch held down as above.

^ yes, what he said. ;)

I got mine used, and it was set like that. I love that feature. It's like having 2 delays in one

Color me uninformed, but I had no idea you could do this with the ML Jr. I am all frickin' over this; I never use the half speed function but love the modulation.

Didn't realize that. Very cool feature!

I can certainly hear mine clearly and it's more than enough for me.

I have my ML Jr set up to come on with the hold of the tap switch and love that functionality.

With the repeats and mix up a bit, I can get a lot more modulation than I am able to use, not subtle at all with the right settings. I agree, the foot switch function is great.

I am the original poster : Aimish Wallace of Diamond is correct and thanks for that. I had the modulation OFF. Now that it is ON, there are gobs of modulation and a setting of roughly 9 o'clock is perfect for me. Funny that I had the pedal for a few weeks before I even noticed the modulation knob!

Diamond pedals continue to dominate my pedal board, I've got their JDrive, the Compressor, the Tremolo, and the MLJr, and all these pedals are fantastic, they seem to have the exact analog signature I am looking for.
