I've been on a journey for "the tele" for a couple of years. I've had a two customs, two MJT partscasters and a G&L and nothing has hit me. Deep down I knew it had to be a Dano.... I have been watching the emporium and Reverb for a while and when this one popped up it spoke to me. I'm a rosewood fretboard guy and was actually looking for Inca Silver or Firemist Gold and there it was.... It's from Chicago Music Exchange and I've always had good luck with them. No hang tag so the pickups are unknown, the neck is .85 and .95. I figured Dan knows better than I what pickups work so whatever he picked are fine with me. It came setup to my specs so the next time I restring I'll pull the pickguard to see what I can see.

6.5 pounds on my bathroom scale and plays like a dream! My only regret is that I don't have the original deck photos!

I've never had the opportunity to play a Danocaster but I sure want to. The necks always look so inviting. Enjoy!

Congrats. Maybe there's a shot of it here?

That's pure porn! Sadly though I didn't see mine. There's no SN or anything on it, and I notice on other dano hang tags that it says to not lose it as it's the only record of the original specs.

I love Danocasters and this one is a beauty. Enjoy!

Yeah it sure is.... I'm really taken by it!

I have a Rocketfire S/R Strat that comes close neck-wise. I think that both Dan and Nick take great pride in crafting and finishing their necks. This is a guitar that just begs to be played when you pick it up.

Email Dan the pics of your guitar. He may recognise it and be able to recall the specs. You never know.

Beauty! I saw that one for sale on CME's site a while ago. Love the shoreline gold with the tort pickguard! Congrats, and HNGD.

Question to you Dano experts.... my headstock decal says "Vintage Replicas", seems all the others I'm seeing have "Custom Guitars" under the Danocaster logo. Is there any significance to this?

Mine says Vintage Replicas as well.

I assume he made a switch at a point in time, what that point is though I don't know.

regarding the "Vintage Replicas" VS "Custom Guitars" decals :

I had requests to clip off the "vintage replicas" part of the decal for certain people who felt it "cheapened" the brand... I had been toying with it and had thought about using something OTHER than "replica"

THEN... the always charming Kelton Swade sent me an email - and calling it a verbal "Cease and Desist"- demanded that I stop making my "****-O-Casters" and that ONLY HE has the rights to use the words "Vintage Replica"

whatever... so I changed it and moved on
