Mesa MC-90 speaker in a Blues Jr????

I have an opportunity to pick up a Mesa/Celestion Mc-90 for fairly cheap money. From the reviews, it seems like a decent all around performer. I'm not trying to do Death Metal but just smooth the highs/mids. Based on your experience with this speaker, would this combo work?

Worst case scenario, I try it out, it sucks and I re-sell the speaker.

for a blues jr, the G12H30 and its variants sound the best imho.

warehouse speakers sells some for like $70

Great speaker - but it is very clear in the highs and mids as far as I can tell - very transparent
