maybe someone can explain to me some of the tonal/construction differences in the Tremoverbs vs. the Dual Recs?

I'm not the best person to attempt this, but technically, the Tremoverb IS a Dual Rec.

Essentially the ToV and the Solo amps are the same, I believe, with the addition of the Trem and Reverb circuits on the ToV. To me, they're much warmer and fuller sounding than the Solo heads. Also, the cleans are really cool. Wish I could elaborate, but ever since I laid ears on my first Tremo, I never really had any need to check out a Solo head.

The T-Verbs will Thrash, Grind, Rock, Sing, Smoke, or Shimmer at the flick of a switch (or two).

+ 1 Million, thre is nothing as sweet sounding as a Tremoverb.
Great amps and no, they don't sound like other Rectifiers, they are great amps.

From what I gather, the TOV shares the same basic circut of the DR Solo. However, the TOV has "less" gain than the Solo, because of the tube driven reverb and trem. That's suposed to be it though. What ever it is, I love mine!

Phoenix, that is just sweet. I'd be afraid to take it out of the house though!

It's interesting to see that the Tremoverb seems to have a lot more handwiring than other Mesa amps. The tubes are also mounted on the chassis instead of a PCB.

I've never had a chance to try the Tremoverb. I don't like the Rectifier and Road King amps at all though so I wonder if I'd hate the Tremoverb as well...

    phoenix, nice amp!

LaXu, if you don't like the Recto sound, I doubt that you will like the TOV. It has a warmer, smoother tone, but it is still Recto in its nature.

Actually... the entire Rectifier series is wired this way... I've seen the inside of a solo, dual, triple, trem-o-verb, road king and recto-verb and they all looked this way inside... could say about the Nomad and Mark series though.

Here is the business end of my Racktifier. Lots of hand wiring...lots of PCB, too.
