Mesa Stiletto Deuce Stage One or Stage? Why?

Those of you who played both stage I and II versions, which one you'd keep and why?

The stage 1 fluid drive is a bit wooly ..... the stage 2 fluid drive is tighter and more defined, especially in higher gain settings.
Go stage 2!

Never had them side by side but I returned the first (early stage 1) Deuce after three weeks. Had a certain frequency that I couldn't dial out. Or get comfortable with. When I checked out the Stage 2 years later, I never noticed it. S2 also seems to have more gain/sustain. Definitely go with the 2 unless you can audition it first.

my Stiletto ace combo is the favorite amp I've owned. hands down the best clean/high gain channel switcher out there imo.
not sure how it compares to the deuce though

No comparison for me - Stage 2 is a much better amp all around, and I had them all and gigged with each for a brief bit (Stage 1, Stage 2 "Hollywood Mod", Stage 2, Stage 2 ACE, etc).

I'm not sure, but I think with the Stage 2 they addressed some of the ice-pick brightness complaints about the originals.
