I had good results with a Menatone Howie through a Studio 22.

Good luck trying to cop that tone with an EL-84 power section. You'll come "close but no cigar". And yes.... I own a Studio .22.

Not sure you can get the true Santana sound with a pedal. He really likes the straight guitar-to-amp format.
