    Hi everyone!

A new Axe FX firmware (Quantum 3.03) is going to be released soon and I got permission to show you the new Metallica USA IIC++.
This amp model sounds and feels amazing and just as how you'd expect it!
    It's easy to dial in.
    I'm loving it!

I made a video for you with some music and I also show the preset.
The upcoming Ownhammer Heavy Hitters Collection Mesa 4x12 is used as well and it pairs up amazingly with this new amp model.

I'm going to do many more videos about various amp modeling and IR products in the future so it would be great if you could subscribe to my YouTube channel and follow us on www.facebook.com/sonicdrivestudio

Enjoy the video and I'll be here to answer any questions that you might have.

The audio clip can also be heard on SoundCloud:

Cool track, sounds good - looking forward to playing around with it! Can you divulge anything else about any other amp models coming up?

    Thanks!

I'm always a fan of your clips, and this is no different, Jon. Great, great stuff.

So, first, I'm a Kemper guy (because not fan of heavy and long tweakings), I'm a huge fan of Metallica ... And in this case, i have to admit : " What a great tone !!!" ... No tons of FX, just an amp, a cab and a bit of reverb. I'm impressed ! So, you proved that Axe-FX can also be as simple as plug'n'play than the KPA.

And BTW, your sample track track is also great !

Does this new amp model require you to use a cheesy wah setting or does it have a Hetfield mode as well?

Any idea when this is going to be added to the Axe for public consumption?

I'd imagine within a few days but I can't tell you of course.
    Only Cliff knows this.

Really cool. Anyone know if and when this will be available for the AX8? Not sure here how firmware releases differ between units...

I hope so! Hammett can shred!! Without that signature wah sound it just wouldn't be Metallica. Can you imagine Page or Angus wanking a 4 note solo to Dyers Eve? Lol.

I've often wondered how good Metallica could be with a good drummer and lead player.

I dig Metallica as they are but James could do a kick ass! solo act with different musicians.

I wonder more about what they'd have done if Cliff Burton hadn't passed on. There are far more bands with better musicians that end up nowhere. Metallica had the complete package IMO. Look at Hendrix, the guy was alive at the right time to be labeled a guitar God. Had he lived today he'd probably be wanking at Guitar Center every Saturday afternoon instead of performing live. There's always a better guitar player, better drummer, better vocalist, but how they all gel is the magic!

Kirk Hammett was perfect when he was soloing over music that was actually good. It's only when they dumbed down that his limitations were evident to me. He played all sorts of cool runs over weirdo chromatic rhythm parts for the first 4 albums.
