In a fit of utter brown tone obsession I dime'd the 12,000 all across the board (except the bass which was at 5) and at the risk of being thrown out of my neighborhood I found what I was looking for. Due to the extreme volume I couldn't do many takes so after all my hard work I came up with a measly 20 second clip that only comes out of one side!
Mistakes were made in the recording process but what comes out of that one side is good enough to post (I think). I'll run the Phantom again (and always) but it was really fun to hear what was hiding in there ya know what I mean?
The Fat Head mushes up the bass a tad (I should have used the SM57) but rest assured in my studio it sounded very brown
Stock hard tail Peavey Wolfgang>Metropoulos 12,000. Nothing else at all not even effects (although reverb would have been very cool to add)
