Mic Cable Recommendations Needed

    I was leaning toward Evidence cables but they are too expensive for me right now. I currently have Monster mic cables, but have been so disappointed with the tone of their guitar cables that I changed to Evidence... - no comparison.

    What have you had experience with that you can recommend for mic cables?

    Mogami or Canare cable with Neutrik ends should be fine.

    Honestly, I havent noticed much variation in sound with balanced cables. I dont really think there would be any sonic benefit with buying new XLR cables (unless you are having noise issues with them specifically). Unbalanced cables (1/4" TRS) on the other hand make a world of difference.

    I use Canare for mic cables they're fairly cheap and sound good. I do use EA Lyric cables for all my guitar cabling though.
