I've seen Michael several times, including Renegade Creation.

Last night was one of the best. He has really nailed his style down to where his playing is so fluid and unique that it is scary. His tone last night was the best it's been too. In a small club environment with a minimal sound system you could really hear the band without any sort of production and it was amazing. The power he gets in just those 2 Fender amps defies reality. You would think he had a Marshall stack up there. For those of you who have seen him, you know what I'm talking about. You can hear the tubes, speakers, strings and wood just straining under his playing.

Travis and the drummer were great, amazing pocket considering out "outside" they get. Best I've heard from Travis too. He did a great bass solo.

Anyway, I always leave stunned.

On a side note, Mason has done a great job on Michael's pedalboard. It had a super low noise floor and there was no buzzing or hum which is hard to accomplish when in a small club and stage.

Great Gil!
One day I aspire to see the man in person.
Was it Strat all night, or did he ever break out any Lesters?

Saw him in Hartford this summer. He even talked to me and mentioned my name twice. Seems like a truly great guy. He seems to be really pushing his solo career. I hope he comes back to New England. His wife is a great singer and it's nice when she comes onstage to break up the mind blowing guitar playing a little.

Great clip! I guess there were many girls at the show ;-)

Surprisingly lots of cute, younger women!

Also, Michael's wife sang a couple and that was cool too.

I saw him in Portland, ME a few months ago. Some of the best guitar tone I've ever heard.

What's the pedal above the SD-9? Also, it looks like the SD-9 is before the input buffer. Usually I just see guys putting a fuzz before a buffer and OD pedals after.

It's a Verunam Ray

Vemuram Jan Ray, it sounded great. I believe it was on the whole time and Michael would kick in the SD9 for more beef. Mason knows much more about it than I do!
