Just saw Mike tonight with James Taylor - man, what a great concert! I was wondering if anyone knows what Michael is currently playing? I was too far away from the stage to see exactly, but I noticed he had 2 Fenders plus one head - any ideas what that is? And any insight to his current pedalboard?

Pretty sure it's 2 of his ML Signature Fender Hot Rod's and most likely his Vertex pedalboard system that he's still using. The smaller wet dry one.

I had the same thoughts; but any idea what the head might be?

He's also used a Morgan head with JT.

He's been using his Dumble Slide Winder head together with a Fender a lot lately.

Could have been a Morgan. Do you know which one he uses?

I saw him in Hamburg a couple of days ago.
Using two Fender amps - no Hot Rods -> Pro Reverbs.
One of them only used as a cab fired by a Badger 30-head.
The working Fender had been used on both chanels at the same time.

Played his '68 black Strat and a Tele.
    A few pedals. That's all.

But man, every note was the one. How can one play like that. A trip.

Speaking of soloing: whenever he played a solo he went to the Badger-amp and turned the gain-knob clockwise. After soloing he turned it back.
So much for how many overdrive-pedals you need on your board. :aok

I've never actually seen any photos of him using the Morgans live. I don't doubt it or anything... would just love to see something!

He loves a clean platform, so HotRods, Pro's, a Deluxe Reverb, and then the Dumble or a Suhr sometimes seems to be what he gravitates towards!

He's the best... that black strat is so cool!

Great to see Mike using a Super Reverb & Dumble 'cos that's what I use
    (Dumble clone actually)
One of my MJT strat bodies is Fiesta over 'burst like his

Just a coincidence 'cos I didn't know who Mike Landau was when I bought that stuff!

Yes I only had a 30 in stock when he asked for another 18 which is simply 2x the output and SS rectifier. He went for it and Mikey likes it ;-)
