This is the one !!
Man I can't wait for you too. That guitar will be like the sword in the stone. Now I can't wait for you.
I just love that green LJ there!!
Me too. I was having a hard time of it surrounded by all these great guitars. Killer Slant 5 too.
I just watched the video finally. I have computer issues....
What a great short video. Thanks for posting that Ultra! The Red LJ he sent off was spectacular in every way. That was very nearly the specs I asked for.
We are going to Alpine this summer.... I've never been even though I'm a lifelong Texan... can't wait.. maybe I'll see him in town... or stalk his shop.
I'd like to know how he ended up in Alpine, Texas. Beautiful place and far away from most everything!
I ordered the plank and a neo, but I can tell you the decision was too hard to put into words. I really really wanted an LJ too. And I want a Classic, but decided that the back angles of the Neo would be better for me. Again the decision was extremely difficult. There is an goldtop LJ in the emporium right now though.
Great post Ultra, thank you. I was playing my LJ tonight, as it happens, before finding this.
Wow. That red guitar he was shipping out with the stapletop pickups is AMAZING!
That's mine with the trem route on the left
It's gonna be Tangelo sparkle with silver plexi mounting rings, PG, etc... Kinda like a Gretsch on Acid
Boy that was a great video. A Stevens is a some day guitar for me, I certainly hope I can make that work this lifetime.
Congrats to the folks who own them and have them coming home soon.
That is awesome. I love the inlays and the guitar so far. Should be a very very special guitar. And a sibling to my Stevens Korina Plank/Junior there.
That Classic with the red maple top, at the top of the Web page, is also just crazy beautiful... preposterously beautiful. Interesting design touch putting the knob in the pickguard -- the sort of thing I would expect somebody to request who spent years playing Strats, and got used to the access of the Strat design.
I'd love to see what an LJ with a top like that would look like.
Do you mean this one?
Sounds like a sister of my pinkie sparkle les plank! If it's anything like mine you won't be disappointed!
What pickups are you going with?
The greatest guitar in the world!? As Ultra knows....my Neo will closely match this. In fact the top is from the same tree, if I'm not mistaken. So special that one.
There will two greatest guitars in the world soon. hehe Looking forward to you getting yours soon, FLH.
No, I mean this one:
By "red maple top" I mean "top made from Eastern red maple, the wood" as opposed to "maple top that was painted red."
Aha, gotcha. The one above was built for Matte. I thought that you were talking about the website banner which features the Melon. You did have me confused with "the knob on the pick- guard" feature.
