Mick Taylor was never a Stone, but still has $245 million, not bad

$245 million, that's as much as Clapton has.

But Mick was never a true Stone, he was a gun for hire. He got a paycheck and never got royalties from the Stones.

He apparently is a savvy investor and business owner.

I always felt he got a bum deal with the Stones. I'm glad he showed them that he was more powerful a force than just a lowly guitar player.

Might his business sensibilities have been a threat to the Stones like in a takeover or something? Or was he not a Stones team player to start out with?

I am pretty skeptical that Taylor is worth anywhere near that. Just six or seven years ago he was reportedly broke.

Based on stories on MT's financial situation over the last couple of decades, I think it's doubtful he has $245 Million. Where would the money have come from? If it all came from his work with the Stones, based on the same metrics then I would expect Jagger to have $245 Billion.

I recall reading his 'down and out' story as well, several years ago.

What in the world? Hostile takeover of the Stones by Mick Taylor?

    What?

Where is this story coming from? As others have posted, I also read not long ago that he was destitute and living in a ramshackle trailer, screwed out of his royalties.

A number of sites that talk about celebrity wealth mention Taylors $245m. And I cross checked against the sites.

He apparently owns restaurants under his name like Fat Taylors. He has a perfume line, he owns property,,,

Is that all bogus? I really don't know.

Googled his net worth and it is listed as $300,000, a fraction of what the OP suggests and in line with reports of being broke a few years ago. Where did $245 million come from?

I just got finished reading "It's only Rock & Roll", By Mrs. Ronnie Wood. They lived high on the hog, until the money ran out. (Things got pretty tough when there was 10 years between RS tours.) At one point, they opened a private club in London, and drained their finances by the millions... Ronnie had to result to working as an artist (painter), to make ends meet.

Well, the net source I read said he had made $85m between 2012 through 2013 with all his biz.

But then, it seems to be the only source saying that.

No way in hell he has anywhere near that kind of dough...that's much closer to KR net worth. That 300k figure sounds a lot more realistic.

That sounds all kinds of wrong.
Got to be a different Mick Taylor......I'm thinking that's not that uncommon a name for Brits.

Whenever I Google a famous person, one of the first results is always "net worth of ..." and....it always amazes me.

I don't have much curiosity over the wealth of others. I hope Taylor got a fair shake from the Stones, but that is where my interest in his finances ends.

I am more curious over the general populations interest in other people's wealth and sex lives.
